How we write
We are Jordan and Alli, two homesteading, homeschooling mothers in northwest Montana. This is how a guide on this blog is made.
Researched and drafted with AI help
Our guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools. We say so plainly because you should know how what you read was made.
Every figure checked against its source
Every number, time and temperature is checked against its primary source, and the source is named on the page and listed at the bottom of the post. Food safety figures come only from USDA, the National Center for Home Food Preservation and the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service. Preparedness figures come from Ready.gov, FEMA, the American Red Cross, the CDC and NHTSA, and farm and garden figures from USDA and university extension services.
Read and edited by us before it goes up
Each post is read and edited by Jordan and Alli before it publishes. When a post tells you what happens at our place, those words are ours. We never let a tool invent an experience, an animal, a result or a quote.
What we don't do
- We don't give medical, veterinary or legal advice, and we don't make claims about state laws. Where those questions come up, we point you to the right professional or office.
- We don't pass off AI-generated pictures as real photos. Images are our own photos or plainly designed graphics.
- We don't publish a guide just to fill a schedule. If we can't make it more useful than what is already out there, we don't post it.
