About Mothersteader

I'm Jordan. My family lives in northwest Montana. I keep bees and a garden, put up as much of it as I can, and homeschool my kids at the kitchen table.

Before the homestead I spent fifteen years running operations for other people's businesses. That is where I learned to love a good spreadsheet: one that does the arithmetic so you don't have to, and tells you plainly what is left to do.

Mothersteader is where those two lives meet. I make planners, Sheets, records, printables and a canning app for women doing this same work: feeding a family from what they grow and preserve, keeping animals, and teaching their children at home. Each one starts with a question I could not easily answer myself, like how many jars of tomatoes we actually eat in a year.

Two things hold for everything here. Any number that touches food safety comes from a tested, published source, cited so you can check it. And if something I made doesn't work for you, write to me and I'll fix it.

Mothersteader LLC is a small Montana business. Our faith shapes how we live and why we do this, and you'll see it in some of what I make.
